- Small Size Prawn 200gm
- Jahni 250gm
- Potatoes 2
- Onions 2 medium sized
- Tomato 1
- Ginger garlic paste 4 tbsp
- chilli powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Mustard Seeds 2 pinch
- Salt as to taste
- cooking Oil
Janhi Chingudi Tarakari Cooking Process :
Cut the Jahni into cubes
Cut the potatoes, tomato and chopped the onions into small pieces.
Wash the prawns and marinate it with pinch of haldi and salt.
Heat 2 tsp Oil in a Kadhai, add 2 pinch of mustard seeds to it and let it splutter
Add marinated prawns and fry till it turns golden brown. Take it out and keep aside.
Put 4 tsp Oil in the Kadai, add chopped onions and a pinch of salt to it so that onions get soft.
Add Red chilli Powder to it then add 4 tablespoon ginger garlic paste, haldi powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and chopped tomatoes to it and fry it well.
Add the chopped Janhi and chopped potatoes.
Add salt to it and mix the vegetables and masala properly and cover it for 5 minutes on low flame , so that excess amount of water comes out from the vegetables.
Add 2 cups of water and let it get cooked for 5-10 mins , then add the fried Prawns to it and cook for 5 minutes more.
Now Janhi Chingudi curry ready.
