- Fish 500 gm
- Potatoes 3-4
- Bread 100 gm
- Milk 100 ml
- Onions 4-5 gm
- Ginger paste 1 tbsp
- Green chilies 3
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Chili powder 1/4 tsp
- Cloves 2
- Cardamom 2-3
- Curry leaves 1 sprig
- Coconut 150 gm
- Tomato sauce 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Oil to fry kofta
Fish Kofta Cooking Process :
Wash the fish well
Steam the fish and remove bones and skin and mash .
Chop chillies fine. Grind the half the onions with ginger.
Slice remaining onions. Grate coconut.
Boil the potatoes and mashed it.
Mix fish, coconut, chopped chilies, half the ground onions, tomato sauce, mashed potatoes, bread soaked in milk and salt. And make small-medium balls.
In a hot pan add oil to fry balls. Fry till it turns golden brown. keep aside.
In a Hot Pan add 1 tbsp oil.
Fry Curry leaves cloves, Cardamom and Cinnamom.
Add sliced onions and fry till golden brown.
Add remaining ground onions, ginger paste and the rest of the spices.
Add Turmeric powder, Cumin powder, Coriander powder, Chilli powder.
Add salt and sugar as to taste.
Add water for medium gravy.
Put in fish balls. Bring to boil 5- 8 minutes and remove.
Now Fish Kofta is ready to Serve.
