- 2 litre milk
- 7 tbs sugar (sweeten per your liking)
- 2tbs sooji (semolina)
- 1 tbs maida
- For garnishing
- Cardamom with skin removed
- Roasted Cashews (10-12)
The typical process to prepare chenna is like that of ricotta: the milk is boiled and then curdled with a small amount of whey, and the resulting coagulated component is collected and wrapped in cheesecloth, strained and beaten thoroughly, until it becomes quite firm.Knead the chenna thoroughly with sugar, sooji and maida (you can put it in the blender). Add the garnishing and bake it till brown (or microwave till it sets). Your yummy sweet is ready.
Tip: Kneading/Blending should be done till there are no grains left in the cheese.
Cut into eatable slices and serve hot or cold!
